Overview

• Probe blots with anti-phospho tyrosine antibody.
• Run gel on fractions taken on first day. Silver stain gel.
• Organise that 4 groups are ready to start ECL reaction together, and load the blots into the film cassette at the same time

Safety

• Announce that they should not put on the current to gels until apparatus is completely assembled ( and should switch off at mains before they disassemble)
• The 95°C bath can scald. Steam builds up under lid, so remove lid quickly away and keep your face and arms away from the vapour.
• Use polystyrene racks, rather than blue plastic, in the 95°C bath.
