Edinburgh School of Biology

This site contains some multiple choice questions that you might find it useful to have a try at if you are feeling enthusiastic.  It is by no means compulsory, and the answers to all these questions are linked to the question pages.  Have a bash if you would like to...

This site has been written and tested to run in Netscape Communicator.  If you are using another internet browser and you experience a loss of symbols or formating, please let me know and I will rectify it as soon as possible.

Here I have grouped the MCQ questions in subject areas.  The list of these subject areas is given below.  This site is structured so that you can work your way through each set of questions, writing down your answers as you go.  You can then follow the link at the end of each section to check your answers, and read the explanation of them which should help you if you are having trouble.

You can either work your way through all of the questions, or follow the link to particular areas that you have problems with and concentrate on through those.

If you are going to print these questions and answers rather than using the web based heading listed below, print from this   document.  It is pdf file of ALL the questions and answers.  Printing from web pages is often less than satisfactory as you can loose some of the formating and symbols.  You can either print directly from this link (you do not need to print the entire document - you can just print the sections you are unsure about if you like), or you can save the file to disc (use the right hand button on your mouse).

If after having worked through the questions and their answers you are still having trouble, you can contact me, Dr Nancy Steele, either by email ( nancy.steele@ed.ac.uk ), phone (650 2993) or catch me about the place at some point.

The subject areas are:
